Your Role

Do you want to work with advanced function development in FPGA and help shape the next generation of Electronic Warfare solutions for combat aircraft? Then this could be the role for you.

With us, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills in FPGA programming and work with cutting-edge technology in signal processing and algorithm development for combat aircraft. You will be an important part of developing advanced, high-performance systems where technical innovation is at the center.

You will be part of an agile, cross-functional team where multiple disciplines collaborate to solve advanced design and implementation challenges. Together, you will design and implement large FPGA-based systems where digital signal processing, algorithms, and efficient data distribution are central components. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of system software and test environments.

In the development department, you will be part of a competent and committed team with a strong team spirit. In close collaboration with specialists in software development, systems, integration, and verification, you will collectively be responsible for function development - from design to verified and tested functionality.

Your Profile

You are a curious and engaged person who takes responsibility and has a strong desire to learn and understand. You share our technical interest in FPGA and embedded development and enjoy working in teams towards common goals.

You have a relevant technical university degree and good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. To succeed in the role, we also see that you have several years of work experience in FPGA development and in implementing advanced functions and systems in VHDL.

Desirable experience includes:

  • Digital signal processing
  • System-on-Chip solutions
  • Python and/or TCL
  • Version control in Git or equivalent
  • Software development in related fields

We are currently located in Järfälla but will be moving to Solna in the summer of 2026. As you will be collaborating with colleagues at other Saab facilities, some travel may occur. Saab is a global company and can offer opportunities to work abroad.
